Policies & Procedures

Important information to help families understand enrollment, tuition, attendance, and program expectations at Old West End Daycare Center.

  • Tuition/Fees and Payment Policies

    Tuition/Fees and Payment Policies

Full-time weekly rates are due every Monday. Payments not received by Wednesday will be considered delinquent. Full payment is expected during illness, with half payment for extended illnesses. Please ensure timely payments to avoid any service disruptions.

  • Contingency Care

Part-time care is available if space allows, with fees due at the beginning of each month. If full-time care is needed, part-time families will be given a week to arrange alternative childcare. Always request a receipt for payments.

  • Vacations and Holidays

Notify the center at least two weeks before vacation dates to avoid deregistration caused by non-attendance. Full tuition is required during holiday periods, regardless of attendance.

  • Past-Due Accounts and Returned Checks

Accounts are overdue by a one-week risk termination from the program. A $35 fee applies to returned checks. Non-sufficient funds (NSF) may result in the denial of future check payments.

  • Late Pickup and Program Withdrawal

Please notify us if pickup will be delayed. A $10 hourly rate applies for late pickups. Repeated lateness may result in removal from the program. Provide a two-week written notice before withdrawing your child from the program. No refunds are given for improper notice. The center will also provide a two-week notice if terminating services, except in non-amicable situations.

  • Enrollment Process

Children are accepted between the ages of 6 weeks and 12 years. Enrollment is available to any child regardless of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Old West End Daycare Center does not discriminate in enrollment and complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

We give preference to families who need full-time care for their children. Applicants will be placed on a waiting list when classes are full.  If a child is withdrawn for an extended period, re-enrollment will depend on space availability.

Before the child’s first day of attendance, the child must have the following on file:

    • A current health record – JFS required medical statement

    • Enrollment form – JFS required form

    • Emergency transportation information

    • Any other forms deemed necessary by the center
